Things to do during school holidays
No school means having loads of free time.
but instead of whiling the hours away watching TV
or simply lazing around in bed,
why not do something productive.
So here's a list of 30 things to do during the holidays
to make sure that you'll be occupied everyday.
1. Get a job.
Getting a job may not seem very fun
but you'll be able to learn a lot from
your work experience like how to deal
with responsibility and working within
deadlines. You'll also be able to add
this work experience into resume
and don't forgot all the money you'll
be earning at the same time
2. Teach yourself how to bake.
Baking is easier than you might
think it is. You'll never want
to buy another brownie again
when you can make it yourself
3. Read one book every week.
Books are cheap, don't
involve much physical activity
and best of all, you can read
almost everywhere. If buying
a book is too expensive for
you, rent a book or check out
the library for the latest titles
4. Volunteer.
Do a little something for someone besides
yourself. Spread a little kindness this
holiday and offer to vo;lunteer at the SPCA
and old folks home or a museum
5. Learn a new sport.
There's no better way to have fun and get fit at the same time.
You can check out your nearest community centre for tennis
lessons or an aerobics at pretty affordable prices
6 Watch the World Cup.
The event comes once every four years, and
captures the attention of every hot-blooded,
soccer-loving human in Singapore. The FIFA World
Cup 2006 will be held in Germany this year from
6 jun to 16 jul - perfect for viewing during te june holidays!
7. Clear out all your junk.
Clear out all the old clthes, CDs, books you you
don't want, along with anything else you don't
use anymore. You can bring it to the Salvation
Army - but only if the goods are in good condition.
Alternatively, you can have a garage
sale and earn back some of the money
8. Be a tourist for a day and vist
tourist hotspots in Singapore.
Explore all our sunny isle has to offer and visit
the tourist hotspots in Singapore, place that you
probably haven't been to since... your last primary
school excursion. Try the Zoo, or even the Night
Safari. Fake accents optional.
9. Plan a picnic for friends or family.
It's cheap but guaranteed to be a whole lots of fun. if
you can'y cook, plan an easy meal like sandwiches,
simple salads, and cold cuts. Or you could buy ready-
made meals from the supermarket.
10. Make a scrapbook with friends.
Get a bunch of friends together and
make a peremanent reminder of the good
times and fond memories that you've shared.
It's a good idea especially if
you're graduating soon. ( not us yeah.. but soon..)
11. Organise a movie marathon
Weather you're into horror or
romance, everyone loves a
movie marathon. So grab a few
videos, pop some popcorn in
your mcrowave, stock up on
your favourite drinks and silde
back into your seat ffor a few
hours of viewing pleasure.
12. Start a business.
It's a good way to earn
money on the side and it
won't take up that much of
time. But if you're still too
scared to take the plunge,
visit www.lemonadegame.com
and setup your own virtual
lemonade stand just for fun.
13. Learn sign language.
It's a useful skill to have, and you might be
able to help others with the skill. for ore
information, log on to the Singapore School
for the Deaf website at www.ssd.edu.sg
14. Recycle your rubbish.
There's never a better time to start
doing your part for the environment.
Sort out your newspapers, drink cans
and plastic bottles and do your part
to save our earth.
15. Make a movie.
Grab a digital camera and start
filming. You might be the next
Eric Khoo or Royston Tan in the making.
There are also courses in video- editing
that you could take up to help
you ceate your own movie!
16. Get a pen pal.
It's nice to get letters in mail.
Send in your coupon for Penpals,( teens magazine )
and you might just find some who
shares the same interests as you.
17. Spend time with your grandparents.
Get to know your grandparents and be surpised
at what you can learn from them
18. Design your own T-shirt.
Always wanted to wear your own design?
use a simple imaging software to create
a design and print it out. If
you're not artistically inclined,
you could just put your fave photo
of you and your other half on the tee
and wear it out on your anniversary!
19. Redecorate your room.
Sick and tired of your boring old room?
Well, Slap on a new coat of paint and
spruce up your bedroom with some new
furniture. IF you don't have the moolah to
get new furniture, put up some posters
of your favourite artistes, or just buy new
bedsheets to brighten up your room
20. Go without television for a day.
Too much of a good thing is never
good. SO tear yourself away from the
telly and give your eyes a rest
21. Make your own ice-cream.
I scream, you scream, we all
scream for ice cream! It's
the perfect dessert for the usuallly
scorching month of june.
and of course everything
tastes better home-made.
check out
www.ice-cream-recipes.com
for more deliciouse recipes.
22. Get a new hobby.
Hobbies are a great way to pass the time
ad make new friends. Check out
meetup.com and share your hobby
with like-minded people
23. Hang out at beach.
Be a beach babe or hunk and
head on down to the beach.
Swim in the sea, play some
beach volley balls or just laze
around in the warm sunshine.
24. Learn a foreign language.
Regardless of what language you
ghoose to pick up (French, Korean or
japanese, take your pick), learning a
new language will help you when you travel overseas.
25. Start a mini-garden.
Growing a plant is said to have a
calming effect and seeing the fruits
of your laabour grow we give you
endless amounts or satisfaction.
26. Have a clothes swap.
Too broke to buy new clothes but
desperate for a new wardrobe? Hold
a "clothing swap' event with a bunch
of friends and be amazed by what you
can find in your friends' closets
27. Write a book
You're never too young to write your
first novel. Pen down whatever ideas
have ever crossed your mind for a
scenario and put them to good use
Publishing them is another story altogether.
28. START YOUR OWN BAND
If music is your passion, then gather up
a few friends and start jamming. Just make
sure the neighbour don't complain when you practice!
Last but not lease..
come back to school for lesson if you need to..

This morning, we were supposed to do our spontaneous writing and our topic is about RESPECT. For some reason, this spontaneous writing did not benefit us at all. Respect is about esteem, the condition of being honored; e.g. "a man who has earned high regard";
an attitude of admiration; e.g. "she lost all respect for him";
obedience, behavior intended to please your parents, e.g. "his children went to law school out of respect for his father's wishes";
regard highly; think much of, e.g. "I respect his judgement".
However, what was learnt in school wasn't used at home very much.(Sorry teachers) :p
Whatever written on this entry has no offence or hard feelings towards anyone. Please DON'T assume anything ok? Its just being put up for you people to laugh it off. (:
This was a screenshot taken when we were in MapleStory(if you know the game). Respect wasn't shown..

LOL. This is one good example of showing disrespect, by annoying and saying the same things over and over again to people. Demanding replies and flooding chat boxes. ps: I was afk during that time so I never really saw what was happening and did not reply him.
These are the names used by us when we were talking

Once upon a time, there were some adults. Their aim was to teach children knowledge and skills. Soon, they opened a school called west spring. Although it was a small school, student there were all hardworking. But some class there were slacking off, naughty and noisy ,they had team spirit. 1 of them was class 3c .they were called the heartbreakers by Miss Hafizah, their new teacher. There was a new teacher call Mr. Sze although the 80% of the pupils in class does not listen to them during lessons. Still they spent their time on 3c. Regardless of the how naughty 3c is they till try their best to teach 3c and give them the best of their knowledge.
Althought sometimes they scold us or call our names infront of everyone in class to make us be alert or "paiseh".. they still care for us. the teachers had spent 9 solid weeks with class 3c and they had put in the best that they had for them .Althought Miss Haifzah is much more fiercer then Mr. Sze. Everyone in 3c knows that she realii care.
Once there was a project of product marketing. And many thought that 3c could not do it,but Miss Hafizah had confident and trust that 3c could did it .She spent time telling them to do their best for the presentation and show others that 3c pupils could do it.
Now they are leaving …… although 3c could be naughty at times, they are NOT cold blooded.
They were like the starfishes …..Miss Hafizah and Mr Sze are the ones who throw them back to sea …but unlike others who throw leave them alone and let them die, they would try their best to help them back to where they belong and help them survived.
Thanks Mr. Sze and Miss Hafizah for doing so much for 3c. We know we had broken your hearts many times but I am sure we had also let your laughter out.
But again …….
in the English and math formula …………
2 right does not make the 1 wrong ,correct?

9 weeks passed so fast
its already the ninth week since they joined us
at the begining, we weren't happy with their arrival
but now, we miss the both of you so much
to our DEAREST miss hafizah:
on the first day when miss hafizah joined us,
some of us were reluctant to be taught by her.
because she had a "black face" like what Ee Ling said this morning
lol
but the more we get together
the more we love you
although we broke your heart again and again
you never gave up on us
and we will LOVE the name you had given us before you left
"THE HEARTBREAKERS"
you gave us the chance to conduct an activity which only those students in University level do
THE PRODUCT MARKETING
this activity is really amazing!
it allows us to know more about our classmates
who are the talented ones and who are the creative ones
not forgetting the people who have stage frights
hmm
this activity rocks our socks
although we need to do the summary on the last day
we didn't complain
we know it is your job as students
for mr sze:
although sometimes we never hand in/do out homework..
you were seldom angry with us
we know that you've always tried your best to teach us
despite the fact that the class hardly show respect to you when you were teaching
we really missed your lessons
and all the little things you shared with us will never be forgotten
9 weeks passed without us noticing
although we were still bothered by your departures
but its time to say goodbye
no matter what
we will always remember the both of you
our best teachers
always and forever!
with love
heartbreaker- zi hui
